I have some very dear local friends that I have known for many years. Miraculously, we had our first children (both girls!) just 2 1/2 months apart, and those two have grown to be the best of friends in the intervening years. It has been really neat raising our daughters together and sharing ideas and interests back and forth.
Needless to say, I’m so excited that in just a few weeks, this lovely family will be welcoming a new tiny person into their lives, and their daughter couldn’t be more excited to finally be a BIG SISTER! <3 (Alexis… you are going to ROCK at it!)
I was very honored when they asked me to take some photos of their family before the baby is born. They decided that although they would certainly appreciate a few “traditional” photos of their family (and that beautiful belly!), what they really wanted was a lifestyle session that would highlight some of their family’s passions: reading, music and baking. It was such a fun invitation for me to hang out in their beautiful home and try to capture lovely images of them doing what they love most.
